DLRC Achieves Cyber Essentials Plus Certification

We are thrilled to announce that DLRC has successfully achieved the Cyber Essentials Plus certification. This significant milestone highlights our commitment to protecting our clients’ data and enhancing our cybersecurity measures.
What is Cyber Essentials?
Cyber Essentials is the UK Government’s minimum baseline standard for cyber security for UK organisations. This scheme is a Government-backed certification that ensures both organisational and client data is safe from cyber threats.
This means that a company with a Cyber Essentials certification demonstrates that it is protecting itself and its clients by implementing the most critical cyber security controls. To achieve the certification, businesses must complete a self-assessment questionnaire to prove they have implemented the technical controls.
The Cyber Essentials Certification assists organisations to stay safe by establishing five technical controls, including:
- Secure configuration
- Malware protection
- Firewalls
- User access control
- Security update management.
DLRC were pleased to announce in 2023 and 2024 that we achieved the Cyber Essentials Accreditation, this year, we have taken this achievement one step further.
Achieving Cyber Essentials Plus Certification
Cyber Essentials Plus is the audited version of the Cyber Essentials information security standard. While Cyber Essentials requires organisations to implement various technical and procedural controls to mitigate common cyber threats, Cyber Essentials Plus goes a step further by providing an independent assessment of these controls. It is the highest level of certification achievable under the UK’s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) scheme, and we are proud to announce that DLRC has successfully achieved the Cyber Essentials Plus certification.
Achieving this certification involved rigorous testing of our systems and devices by an external auditor, ensuring that our cybersecurity measures are robust and effective. Our dedicated team worked tirelessly over several weeks to ensure all necessary controls were in place. The audit included:
- Verifying account separation
- Testing malware from the internet and email
- Checking mobile device certificate trust settings
- Updating antivirus software.
Successfully completing these tests provides further assurance that our technical controls are effectively implemented and maintained.
